Crisis Response Training Package

This full-day course includes our Skillfully Responding to Distress and safeTALK workshops.

  • We book these programs on a rolling basis throughout the year

This in-person 8-hour course assists individuals and agencies in learning practical skills for managing distress and responding to a person with thoughts of suicide.  The course consists of Skillfully Responding to Distress and safeTALK.

Participants will learn de-escalation skills; when and how to ask about suicide and how to help keep someone safe, boundary setting, self-care, and self-preservation.

Who is it for?

Typical participants include professionals working in situations where they need to respond to challenging situations, including social service workers, medical assistants, insurance client representatives, youth workers, call centre staff, and administration.

The Facilitators 

These sessions are facilitated by skilled professionals with backgrounds in suicide response, counselling, psychology, and adult education.
