Greater Vancouver has a rich and diverse community of committed and talented individuals who are passionate about helping others.
The Crisis Centre relies on this incredible network of volunteers to deliver our essential services. Our volunteers are trained and supported to share their unique skills in a variety of rewarding roles:
- Crisis Response: Offering a listening ear and emotional support to individuals in crisis on our phone lines and chat rooms. This vital role provides hope and resources during someone’s most difficult moments.
- Community & Education: Facilitating workshops in classrooms and community events to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. Your efforts empower individuals and communities to build resilience and support one another.
- Administrative Support: Providing essential support behind the scenes with tasks like communication, fundraising, and administrative duties. Your contributions ensure the smooth operation of the Centre, allowing us to focus on our core services.
By becoming a volunteer, you’ll gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and make a real difference in the lives of others. You’ll also become part of a supportive network of individuals who share your passion for helping people in crisis.
If you want a meaningful way to contribute to your community, consider volunteering with the Crisis Centre. We welcome individuals from all walks of life, with diverse skills and experiences.
