Whether you volunteer to provide administrative support to Tamara or Jeffrey, work with Lu, Tiffany, and Effie to ensure youth learn valuable life skills in their physical or digital classrooms, or volunteer with Martin, Alain, Johanna, Lisa, Akhila, Josh and the whole distress services team in answering every call and chat, we thank you.
Today starts National Volunteer Appreciation Week, and as a volunteer-powered organization, you matter a great deal.
This year we can’t show our appreciation in the ways we normally do – our work is different at the moment. No matter the circumstance, please take a moment to know you are helping bring calm spaces into a chaotic world. You are making a difference.
And, when the world and our work returns to a new normalcy – which it will – I look forward to turning on the BBQ and gathering in celebration of your work and the strength you bring to the Centre and those we serve.
